This technology enables more consistent plating thickness than straight DC especially with through-hole plating or difficult geometries. This is important for applications such as gold or silver plating to reduce cost. AxD products are available with single or multiple high current outputs for improved pulse distribution. AxD power supplies offer very fast pattern changes compared to other power supplies. The PC Software Visual Plating Controller (VPC) provides the user multiple complex waveforms and recipes. Versions of this product are available either complex plating or electrochemical machining (ECM).
